I hate when they grow

I have looked at my baby the last few days and thought, "I can tell he is getting bigger." Dave asked me last night if I was ready for another once since Braden is already growing so much. I told Dave that after the circus we experienced during Sacrament meeting, I was thinking that 3 kids might just be oodles.

Brotherly Love

"I love him!" Colty told me today. He does. He wants to hold him and kiss him all the time. We are working on not touching or kissing him when he is sleeping, and it is very hard.

Braden also loves to be with his brothers. Bathtime is especially fun, because everyone seems very happy.

Working through the accident

Although the car accident didn't seem to be something traumatic to the boys, we continue to talk about it all the time. Tanner spends a good portion of every day drawing "maps" or explaining the "instructions" he has drawn to anyone who will listen. If we just follow the maps,we won't crash again. He also likes to wear his bike helmet a lot. He wore it to the library on Saturday, and Dave was appalled to think that the townsfolk will think our kid is nuts.

The other thing that is all too obvious is that we have been to too many doctors appointments, as Tanner now reenacts being the doctor. We have been to our family practice doctors, the chiropractor, and he remembers the doctors and nurses from the hospital both at the time of the accident and when we had Braden. I hope this isn't something we will need therapy for later!

One week old

We are sure loving our baby Braden!! He is such a good boy. He sleeps pretty much all the time, and when he is awake, he wants to eat. He is a week old today, and is past his birth weight...a healthy little guy. Tanner and Colty love him. Grandpa & Grandma Mills came up on Sunday and Grandpa gave Colty a stuffed animal, and then later told him that he wanted to take the baby home with him. Colty was not going to let it happen, so Grandpa said that if he couldn't take Braden, he wanted the stuffed animal back. Colty didn't even think about it..."I'll go get it" he said. Who cares about a stuffed animal anyway?

We brought him home

Since my mom is not able to come right now, I chose to stay at the hospital the full stay. We came home this afternoon, and everyone is excited. (So excited that Tanner has wet his pants twice since we've been here!) Colton just wants to hold him, and Tanner wants to be helpful too, but more from distance. We've had such wonderful help from friends and my siblings at college, and someone wonderful put a sign on our garage to welcome us home. I don't know who, but I hope they know how much it means to me!! We are glad to be home and start getting into a new normal.
