Sweet new do...

Colt has been begging for a mohawk.  Since we had family pics last month, and school starts next month, this was our chance to be wild and crazy.  And so we are!

What an awesome mom they have!  Just sayin'...

A new little girl

Unfortunatley, Sabree has not been the happiest baby.  In fact, she is really quite grumpy.  She thinks she needs to be held most all of the time, even when she is sleeping, and she does a fair part of the day screaming, when she isn't sleeping or eating.  Grandma suggested that maybe she had reflux, so I took her to the doctor, and he put her on Nexium to see if it would help.  Within 2 days, she is a new little girl!!  She sits and is content and sleeps at night and is a joy to have around.  She isn't a really smiley baby, but she is doing more cooing and gooing now that she has a reason to be happy.

And she stinking cute besides!!

And she loves her daddy, but more than that, he sure loves her!!

We love company

Grandpa & Grandma Peterson came up and brought Grandad and Grammy with them.  Dave got to drive all over the farms and show Grandad how they do things up here in Washington.  Grammy got to spend time loving on Sabree, and we all had a wonderful time having them here.  Saturday we took them on a long drive (it is somehow longer than I remembered) to Palouse Falls.  We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the view, then drove to Little Goose lock and dam and saw some HUGE fish through the viewing windows.  I don't know why but I love that!  Then the ride home through the rolling farm hills is gorgeous.

It was so fun to have my grandparents here and to show them how we do "our" thing.  We love them so much!  I feel so grateful that my boys are growing up knowing who they are. Not every kid has a relationship with his great-grandparents!!

That's thinking

After jumping on the tramp with the sprinklers for a few days in a row, Dave decided that what they really needed was a foam machine.  So, he and Tanner brainstormed, and after many youtube videos and Tanner's drawings, they came up with something that worked.

Then of course they needed something bigger and better, so they upped the size of all the equipment, and foam they have!

Happy 4th of July

For the 4th of July this year we spent the day as a family.  Despite what Tanner and I wanted, Dave didn't want to have a party at our house.  Luckily we were invited to some friends home to swim in their pool and have a bbq.  It was fun. Then we parked the truck along Canal Drive and went back later that night to watch the fireworks over the river from the back of the truck.  It was a great view and very fun.  We bought some sparklers and firecrackers when in UT and after the initial apprehension, the boys loved it.  Something about boys and fire....
