Rupert

We stayed in Rupert on our way to Utah. Paislee was so happy be out of the car and to meet her great-grandparents.  She cooed and smiled at them the whole time.  It's always fun to be with Grammy who demands "smoochies" and Grandad that calls the boys "feller". It wasn't a long stay, but we are so glad we did it!

A fun visitor

Amanda came to visit for a few days and then drove back to Utah with us for spring break.  It was so fun to have her around.  She became Sabree's best friend!  We crafted a little and went to lunch and she played lots of puzzles with the kids.

Tulip Town, WA

Since we have moved to Washington I have wanted to go see the tulip and daffodil fields in north western Washington.  The kids had a 3 day weekend this week so we took off to see the spring blooms.  Our friends the Mackays came with us and it has been awesome!  The boys weren't as excited about the flowers. I told Tanner this is something I have always wanted to do and he asked why I couldn't have done it by myself.  I told him that I am the mom and have to take my kids with me when I go places so he gets to come.  Everyone has been a good sport and humored my excitement.

Love at home

There is a whole bunch of lovin on this baby sister.  Sabree says all the time "she so special me" and "Paiswee is so cute!"  Last week Paislee had a terrible cough and Sabree was sick too.  As both girls were coughing, Sabree looked at me and said "I pray for her".  Then she said a little prayer that her baby sister would get better.  She didn't even pray for herself.  She is the best big sister.  I have to move her baby out of the swing and car seat almost every time I want to put my baby in.  And she has started "nursing" her baby now by lifting up her shirt and the has to "switch sides too".  It's a lot of pressure to teach a 2 year old how to be a good mom!

A daddy moment

Loved Dave tying Colton's tie this morning.  And Tanner went home teaching with Dave tonight for the first time. Kind of exciting to think that one of these days my boys are going to be big enough to do that with their dad.

Mama's girls

It's so fun having little girls!  Sabree loves to have her nails painted and last week painted my toes and Paislee's toes (good thing the paint washes off skin fairly easy).  Sabree lets me do her hair so pretty and the other day we tried rag curlers and her hair turned out so adorable!

Antique pictures

While at Walmart the other day I got talked into signing up to take antique pictures with my family. They provide all of the clothes and for the $25 you get to bring home a print. I decided it would be fun so we did it on Saturday. I couldn't talk Dave into dressing up for the pictures that we did just the kids.  I was really excited with how cute it all turned out. I hope the prints are great too!

We found our smiles!

Paislee is now 2 months old!  She finally found her smiles and is not so stingy about sharing them. It is so fun!

The answer to life's problem

Dave has found the answer to his fry making dilemma.  He has been trying for years to figure out how to make restaurant quality fries that aren't soggy and stay crisp.  After touring a plant or two with work, he decided that he should blanch the fries in oil and then cool them off or freeze them and then fry them again.  Wallah!  They are awesome!  He bought a fry cutter for Christmas that wasn't great.  At Smith and Edwards he found a commercial fry chopper for cheaper than we had seen anywhere else and he snagged it!  He is one happy little fry making man now!
