I love the mountains I love the rolling hills

We have all been itching to go camping!!  Finally is was warm enough and we didn't have anything pressing on the calendar, so we escaped.  We were told about a place about 2 hours away, so we loaded the truck and went on an adventure.

We had such a good time.  Everyone loved being outdoors and exploring nature.  It was beautiful and relaxing and peaceful and wonderful to be just us!

Sabree helped Daddy set up the tent.
The boys explored and pretended, and went everywhere with a stick.
The river was right behind our campground so Dave got the fishing poles ready just in case there was a fish.

Everyone was brave and climbed on the log.  The first cast Daddy put in with his spinner caught a little fish, but he really didn't want to stay out of the water and jumped right off the hook and back in before we could take his picture.  Then he hid and told all his friends to beware cuz we didn't catch anything after that.

When is got darker we drove down to one of the ponds and listened to the frogs and crickets and shone flashlights into the water.  There is interesting things to see in the pond at night.
 Braden loved it!
The next morning we went fishing at some of the ponds.  But it was free fishing day and we weren't the only ones with the great idea to go fishing.  We got skunked but had fun anyway.

Then we found a little place to have a fire and roast a hotdog for lunch and eat it in a shady secluded spot.
Sabree needed a nap by this point and didn't love eating lunch in her car seat.  But it wasn't a very baby friendly lunch location.

Then we all decided to find a place to dip our feet and cool off in the river.  I was a bit nervous that someone would float down the river and be lost forever, but luckily the boys were careful and we all made it out!
Sabree LOVES water.  She doesn't care that it was freezing cold water.  She throws rocks in it and folds in half to get her face in it and loves it.
As soon as we were on our way home Sabree zonked out, and maybe mom did too.  We had such a delightfuly camping trip, and can't wait for the next one in a few weeks!!
