Island Park

Although it seemed like a small group this year since Amanda is in TX, Cami and Matt couldn't get off work, and Mitch came solo, we had a fun time.  The boys have been so excited for months to go to the cabin.  Unfortunately the boat died on day 2, so we weren't able to do the usual water sports.  But the little kids didn't care, just the big ones, and we don't worry about them.  :)  Grandpa had kayaks this year and that kept everyone pretty occupied.  And Madolyn is the little ring leader and the kids played house every day, with the boys being husbands to the girls, walking around calling each other "wife" and "husband" and "honey". Since the boys outnumbered the girls, one of the girls had 2 husbands.  That made it fair.

Tuesday the Taylors came up.  It was fun to catch up, and Bill was a good sport and drove back to Sugar City and got their boat so we had something to play one for an afternoon.

Wednesday we did the Playmill thing.  Tanner got to go with us this year since he is 8 now.  Jordan and Dawn stayed home with the little ones.  We saw Disney's Beauty and the Beast.  It was fabulous as always.

Matt's cousin was Cogsworth.  He was great!

Jordan and Dawn left early on Thursday morning to get to Dawn's sister's wedding.

Friday the Poteet cousins were in Island Park.  Mitch and Dave and Colt and Tanner met them at Mack's Inn and went kayaking.  They all came back later that night for a quick weenie roast.

Aunt Susan and Uncle Jeff brought Grammy and Grandad up on Thursday so they wouldn't miss out on any fun.  We had a nice visit with them and they stayed the night at our cabin.

On Saturday we packed up, cleaned up, and headed home.  The boys said to me, "You said we were going to be at the cabin for a week".  I said, "Yes, and it has been a week."  "But you said we were going on vacation for 3 weeks!"  I said, " yes, and it has been 3 weeks." Wow, time flies when you are having fun!
