Fun in SLC

It occurred to me that in all our fun trips to Utah, our kids had never been to Temple Square.  So, on Friday, Grandma and I took my kids and Mads and Avery on the Front Runner train to SLC.  It was such a fun adventure.  Dawn and Drew and Mitch met us there.

Tanner was a bit disappointed that the train didn't go through tunnels. But in the end it was his favorite part of the trip.

Our first stop was Temple Square.  The kids loved the "talking Jesus".  They also loved exploring the interactive videos and displays in the visitor's center.

Then we walked over to the Church Office Building and had lunch with Grandpa.  The cafeteria is being remodeled so we ate on the 26th floor.  Great view!

Then we walked over to City Creek.  I had heard lots about it but had never seen it.  Very impressive.  The kids loved the dinoland.

Dawn then took the tired babies home and the rest of us headed over to the Church History Museum.  The kids had a great time fishing from Nephi's boat, playing seek and find on the computers, building temples with blocks, planting gardens, and dancing.

Grandpa came home with us on the train.  Good thing cuz he knew where to catch the bus and how to get to where we needed to go.  We were all pretty tired and very hot after a few blocks walk.

I'd say we had a pretty great day!
